MEDICAL ​TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to medical appointments can be difficult to find, especially if the appointment requires a friend or family member to pick you up after the procedure. With transportation becoming an increasingly prevalent issue for seniors, adults with disabilities, and veterans, Carroll County RSVP has a program in place to provide volunteer drivers and escorts to medical appointments.

BONE
BUILDERS
PROGRAM

The Bone Builders Program relies upon weight training and balance exercises to protect against fractures caused by osteoporosis by increasing muscular strength, balance and bone density. Participants reported increased strength, better balance, more energy and feelings of well-being.  The National Osteoporosis Foundation recommends engaging in both weight-bearing and muscle-strengthening exercises to prevent osteoporosis.

ON
​WHEELS

​RSVP’s Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers deliver healthy nutritious meals to older adults and adults with disabilities.  Our mission is to enrich the lives of the elderly, veterans and individuals with disabilities allowing the individuals to remain in their homes for as long as possible in an independent and dignified manner. Our trained drivers not only deliver nutritious meals, but also provide social connections and safety checks,
