Meet the 24 of 30 Material Girls!

PictureGail's Material Girls
The Gail's Material Girls are a group of resolute volunteers who get together monthly to make quilts for charity. The group was founded by Gail McClure in 2000, who owned a quilt shop in Meadville, PA.

To date they have made over 1,700 quilts and raised more than $55K for RSVP through the sale of raffle tickets. For over 21 years RSVP volunteers and staff have attended various craft fairs and events across Mount Washington Valley selling chances for a beautifully crafted quilt.

The quilt drawing for 2025 was held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 and the winner of the quilt was Marie McArdle, owner of May Kelly's Cottage Restaurant in North Conway, New Hampshire. Congratulations Marie!
